Granny’s Apple Crisp Cheesecake


Crisp Crust and Topping:

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp.  salt

1/2 tsp.  cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

6 ounces cold butter



16 ounces  cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup sugar

2 Tbsps. flour

1 tsp. vanilla

1 large egg


Apple Topping:

21 ounce can or quart jar of apple pie filling


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.    Lightly butter a 13×9-inch pan.


Crust and Topping:   Mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nuts.    Cut in butter until crumbly.    Press 3 cups of mixture evenly into the bottom of prepared baking pan.  Set aside and reserve remaining 1 cup for topping.    Bake for 10 minutes.    Remove from oven and let cool completely.


Cheesecake:   beating together cream cheese, sugar, flour, vanilla and egg until smooth.    Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled crust.


Topping:   Spread apple pie filling evenly over cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with reserved crust mixture.    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until apple filling is bubbly and topping is crisp and golden.    Remove from oven.   Let cool in the pan on a wire rack for 30 minutes.    Chill in the Refrigerate at least 2 hours overnight.    Cut into 24 servings, enjoy!
