How to Color Eggs

How to Color Eggs

¼ tsp. food coloring

1 Tbsp. white vinegar

¾ cup hot water

One 3×3 inch container for each color dye
Gather up one cup for each color dye, at least 3 inches deep by 3 inches wide. Mix food coloring, hot water and vinegar in each cup. Gently add one hardboiled egg to each cup. The longer the egg is in the dye and darker it will be. Remove egg when you have the color you desire.

We also like to write something special on each egg just for fun using a color crayon of choice before the dying process.

Using a paint brush or a small rolling brush you can add colors to your already dyed eggs using different colors.

Put a rubber band around the egg, then dye the egg, then remove the rubber band after egg is dried and you have white lines around your egg…or dye the egg, put rubber bands around your egg and dye again with the same color to get darker or change color…..then your lines will be colored.

Glitter is also a wonderful way to decorate your eggs.

Have fun now!
