Granny’s Meaty Pizza Casserole

 

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

1 small onion, chopped

16 oz pkg. rotini pasta or egg noodles
24 oz. pizza or pasta sauce

2 cups shredded cheddar
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1 can black olives, sliced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

6 oz. sliced pepperoni

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.     Grease 9×13 casserole dish.
In a skillet brown ground beef or Italian sausage with onion; drain, set aside.

 

Cook pasta in salted water until tender; drain.   Stir noodles, and pizza sauce together; add to meat and onion mixture.  Stir to blend.

 

Poor into prepared casserole dish.

 

Sprinkle with cheddar, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.  Top with black olives, mushrooms and pepperoni.     Bake until bubbly and cheese is melted, about 20 to 25 minutes.

 

Variations:

Mix in black olives and mushrooms into cooked meat and onion mixture.

Add chopped tomatoes

Add Chives
