Granny’s Pecan Sandies


1 cup butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

2 tsp vanilla

1 Tbsp water

2 cups flour, sifted

1 cup pecans, chopped


Preheat oven to 300° F.   Cream together butter and sugar; mix in vanilla, water and flour.   Add pecans.   Form into walnut size balls.   Bake for 20 minutes.   While still hot, roll in additional powdered sugar, when cool, roll again in powdered sugar.   Makes 3 dozen
