Cocoa Fudge Cookies

Cocoa Fudge Cookies


1/2 stick butter, soft

7 Tbsp cocoa powder

2/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

1/3 cup sour cream

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup flour

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 pinch salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350° F.      Line baking sheet with parchment paper.


Over low heat melt butter, remove from heat; stir in cocoa powder and sugars.    Stir in sour cream and vanilla.   Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt and add to butter mix until just combined.   Stir in chocolate chips.


Drop onto prepared baking sheet.   Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until set, slightly firm edges.   Cool 10 then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.


Variations: use dried tart cherries in place of chocolate chips.
