Granny’s Mocha Pie

Granny’s Mocha Pie

1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 Tbsp instant coffee
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 to 2 cups cup whipping cream topping, see variation below
1 graham cracker crust, chocolate cookie crust or baked pie crust

Cream together butter and sugar. Add chocolate, instant coffee and vanilla; blend well. Add 1 egg; beat 5 minutes. Add second egg; beat 5 more minutes. Pour into baked crust. Chill several hours. Top with whipped cream.


Use 1 Tbsp butter plus 3 Tbsp cocoa powder in place of 1 square unsweetened chocolate.

Use Whipped Coconut Milk Cream for an added coconut chocolate flavor blend.
