Scottish Shortbread

 

1 lb butter (4 sticks)

1 cup brown sugar, packed

4 cups flour

 

Cream together butter and sugar; gradually add flour.   Mix well.   May be rolled out onto floured surface and cut or pressed into a pan and baked.   Bake at 325° F or until slightly golden brown.
