Potato and Ham Chowder

Potato and Ham Chowder

1 Tbsp. butter
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup diced onion
dash pepper
¼ cup chopped green peppers
¼ tsp. paprika
2 lbs diced potatoes
2 Tbsp. flour
1 cup water
12 oz evaporated milk
1 cup chopped ham

Melt butter in a large soup pan. Add onion and green pepper. Sauté until tender. Add potatoes, water, and spices. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Combine flour and small amount of water into a past and add to soup. Add milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in ham and heat through.
