Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed French Toast

1 loaf Hawaiian Bread (1 ½ lbs)
10 eggs
8 oz cream cheese
2/3 cup half and half or cream
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup butter,  melted

Fruit syrup or powdered sugar for topping

Butter 9×13 baking dish. Cube bread; place half of bread in bottom of prepared baking dish. Cube cream cheese and place over bread. Layer last half of cubed bread over cream cheese.

In a blender mix eggs, cream, melted butter, maple syrup and pour over bread in pan. Press bread lightly into liquid to absorb fully. Top with more syrup; let stand overnight.

Next morning Preheat oven 350 degrees F and bake 45 to 60 minutes. Top with fruit syrup or powdered sugar and serve.
