Granny’s Best Raisin Bread Pudding

8 eggs
1 cup brown sugar, packed
4 cups heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
5 cups dry raisin bread (8 slices)
2/3 cup raisins
glaze (see recipe below)

Beat together eggs, cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Put bread cubes into greased 9 x 13 baking dish and sprinkle raisin over bread. Pour egg mixture over all. Bake 325 degrees F 40-45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool slightly then pour glaze over all and enjoy immediately.

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbs heavy cream
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp cinnamon
dash salt

Blend and drizzle over top of the bread pudding.
