Tamale Pie Casserole

 

½ lb lean ground beef

½ cup minced onion

2 tsp. garlic powder

8-oz can tomato sauce

½ cup milk

1 egg, beaten

6 oz can whole-kernel corn

¼ cup sliced black olives

½ cup cornmeal

1 Tsp. chili powder

1 Tsp. salt

 

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.   Cook beef and onion with garlic powder.   Combine tomato sauce, milk, egg, corn, olives, cornmeal, chili powder and salt.   Pour into meat and mix well.   Spoon into 8×8 baking pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in meddle comes out clean.   Cut into squares and serve.
