Granny’s French Onion Scalloped Potatoes

6 medium potatoes, sliced thinly
2 Tbsp. flour, divided
1 tsp. salt
¼ Tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp. Butter, divided
3 cups milk
chopped ham
Cheese, grated of choice
1 can French Onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Put half the potatoes in baking dish. Sprinkle with one Tbsp. flour, salt and pepper, dot with butter. Repeat with second layer; add milk until it is half way up the dish; add chopped ham, top with cheese.

Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover, top with French Onions and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes or so until browned.

Serves 4 to 6

Add a little zip, use Pepper Jack Cheese….
Fry several pieces bacon, crumble and use in place of ham…
