Macadamia Bars

Macadamia Bars

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sour cream
1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Mix together flour and brown sugar in a large bowl. Then cut in shortening until crumbly; press evenly into prepared baking pan.

Beat egg until light and fluffy. Mix in baking soda and sour cream until well blended. Pour over crust evenly. Top with macadamia nuts and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool then cut into bars. Enjoy!
