Granny’s Butterscotch Marshmallow Sauce

Granny’s Butterscotch Marshmallow Sauce

1 cup dark brown sugar
3 Tbsp flour
1 ¾ cup hot water
1 ½ Tbsp butter
12 marshmallow, halved
1 tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla extract

Mix sugar and flour together in sauce pan; add hot water and butter; cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat; add marshmallows and stir until melted. Stir in salt and vanilla. Serve cold over ice cream, cake, pies, fruit, bread pudding or use as a dip for fruit.
